Welcome to CueCard. By using our application, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using CueCard, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our application.
2. Description of Service
CueCard is a desktop application that allows users to view speaker notes during presentations, meetings, and other activities. The application provides features including:
- Syncing speaker notes from Google Slides
- Creating and displaying custom notes
- Hiding notes from screen recordings and screen shares
- Adjustable transparency and timing features
3. Open Source License
CueCard is open source software released under the MIT License. You are free to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense, and/or sell copies of the software, subject to the conditions of the MIT License. The full license text is available in our GitHub repository.
4. User Responsibilities
When using CueCard, you agree to:
- Use the application in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
- Not use the application for any fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal purposes
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application beyond what the open source license permits
- Not use the application to infringe on the rights of others
5. Google Integration
CueCard integrates with Google services to sync speaker notes from Google Slides. When using this feature:
- You must have a valid Google account
- You must authorize CueCard to access your Google Slides
- Your use of Google services is also subject to Google's Terms of Service
- We only request the minimum permissions necessary to provide the sync functionality
6. Intellectual Property
The CueCard name, logo, and branding are the property of CueCard. The underlying software is open source under the MIT License. Your notes and content remain your property.
7. Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using CueCard, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
CueCard is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Implied warranties of merchantability
- Fitness for a particular purpose
- Non-infringement
- Accuracy or reliability of any content
We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, CueCard and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:
- Your use or inability to use the application
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers
- Any bugs, viruses, or similar issues transmitted through the application
- Any errors or omissions in any content
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CueCard and its creators from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including legal fees) arising out of your use of the application or violation of these Terms.
11. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of CueCard after such modifications constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using CueCard at any time by uninstalling the application. As an open source project, there is no account to terminate. If you wish to have your information removed from our systems, please contact us.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
14. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement
